10 Percent of U.S. Mosques Preach Jihad, FBI Estimates
In the wake of the brutal mass murders by a Muslim U.S. Army officer at Fort Hood, the FBI is taking a fresh look at a frightening estimate: 10 percent of the 2,000 mosques in the United States have spiritual leaders who preach jihad, or holy war. Even more frightening: some 25 percent of American Muslims ages 18-29 believe that suicide bombings can be justified.
