Bring the Rain

This is prayer:

This is wit:

This is stupid:

Statement from SCGOP Chairman Katon Dawson:

"The outrageous behavior of two of the Obama campaign's highest profile supporters in the south is despicable, a cynical politization of life and death. I call on Barack Obama to immediately denounce Fowler and Spratt and demand sincere apologies from these members of the Democratic leadership."

Hey Jackass

When's the last time you moved 1.9 million people out of harm's way?

Why you had no idea what you were getting into when this situation got over your head way too quick didn't it, boy? How on this green Earth could you have made the decision to interrupt the lives of that many people when the storm only threatened say, the livelihood of 9,000?

And then after the audacity, to reopen the slave camps in Kentucky?

Why it's the purest arrogance and shall not go unquestioned.
[/sarcasm]

Beyond Your Pay Grade

You Shall Not Hear this Outrageous Slander! Begone all ye Faithful!

Hail Glorious Barry! The One, the Obalmighty!

Funny how infanticide mobilizes the Democrats as much as a pistol-packin' hot mama energizes the Republican base. Misplaced priorities, maybe?

Christians Don't Riot

But you All-Religions-Have-Their-Fundamentalist-Loonies types shouldn't be discouraged! One day Christians will rise up and demand an end to free speech, so as to end unwelcome criticism and lampooning of Christianity!

Why, it's inevitable!

Muslims have shown that it works -- how long can it be before Christians get the message? The disparate reactions couldn't have anything to do with the differing teachings of the religions -- oh, no. If we said that it did, the next thing you know we would have to acknowledge that traditional Islam actually contains doctrines of violence and supremacism.

Better to say that today's Christians have just been slow on the uptake on using violence to get their way.

Bullock of the moment: Jesus Was Dark, Liberal: Why Fear Obama?
"Second, Jesus’ genealogy is stated clearly in the Bible and demonstrates that he was a man of color. First, Matthew 1:2-17 sets out Jesus’ lineage to King David and beyond, which interestingly contains many flawed human beings (sinners like me), but also contains at least four Afro-Asiatic women: Rahab, Tamar, Ruth and Bathsheba. There was also a substantial general Afro-Asiatic influence in Jesus’ DNA as the Hebrew in Jesus genealogy were a subjugated people that spent a hundreds of years in Africa."

What they don’t understand, excluding the actual Son of God, nobody exists before they are born be it theory of evolution, reincarnation, or some moonbat alien cloning cult. Yeah Joseph and Mary’s family lineage goes back a long way but I think what they really mean to say is Jesus is American.

PELOSI: As an ardent practicing Catholic, this is an issue that I have studied for a long time. And what I know is over the centuries, the doctors of the church have not been able to make that definition, and, uh, St. Augustin' said at three months. We don't know. The point is is that it shouldn't have an impact on a woman's right to choose. Roe v. Wade talks about very clear definitions of when the child -- uh, eh, er, first trimester, certain considerations second trimester, not so third trimester. The there's very clear distinctions

RUSH: The Catholic Church doesn't know? The Catholic Church hasn't stipulated? The "doctors" at the Catholic Church? You mean the pope goes and consults the doctors to find out when life begins? Really? The doctors have more to say than God?

Ed Morrissey, writing at the Hot Air blog:

"In Psalm 51, David refers to his sinfulness beginning at the moment of conception, and sinfulness requires physical life and a soul to exist."

The notion that the Catholic Church declared abortion a sin at the same time as the Pill is patently absurd, and shows that Pelosi has either lied about studying the issue in terms of Church history or lied about what she found. Church writings specifically naming abortion as murder appear as early as 70 AD in the Didache, the first written catechism of the Christian church.

White Sovereignty Exposed in Chinese Olympics

Rush: That is typical jingoistic nationalistic patriotism on display at a world citizen event, and furthermore having these athletes shroud themselves in the American flag is confusing our public school students. Why not get a world flag?

Why doesn't Obama design a world flag? He's this global citizen of the world, right?

Every time there's another American medal winner, kids see nothing but healthy, happy achievers wrapping themselves in a piece of fabric that symbolizes our greed, imperialism, and arrogance. By the way, 3% of the world's population is winning a majority of Olympic medals. Is that fair? Three percent of the world's population winning a majority of Olympic medals, how is that fair? Anyway, you know, according to Obama and the Democrats -- and you'll see it at their convention next week -- the country sucks, everyone needs to know that, and the Olympics are doing nothing to make this point.

The Olympics are creating a false impression of this country. The Olympics are making us look like great, hardworking, high achievers. Lovable, laughing, charismatic people are on our Olympic team. This has gotta be embarrassing to Obama, given his view of the United States.

Not to mention the dirtbag liberals who read my blog(s) because it makes me seem brighter, more articulate than I really am, and therefore I don't deserve to live and work like a normal dirtbag. God bless these dirtbags because they know not what they do.

Shazam

But most stunningly, when Warren asked Obama if he supported a constitutional amendment defining marriage as between a man and a woman, Obama said he did not "because historically -- because historically, we have not defined marriage in our Constitution."

Say, you know what else was "historically" not defined in the Constitution? Slavery. The words "slavery" and "slave" do not appear once in the original Constitution. The framers correctly thought it would sully the freedom-enshrining document to acknowledge the repellent practice. (Much like abortion!)

On Obama's "historical" argument, they shouldn't have passed the 13th Amendment because the Constitution "historically" had not mentioned slavery.

Do we know for a fact Barack Obama has read the Constitution? Obama's Facebook profile: "I'm pro-infanticide, I love sunsets, and I don't get the 13th Amendment!"

Evangelical Weenies Set for Flip-Flop

Huckabee and Paul appealed to young voters for qualities not associated with presumed nominee John McCain — Huckabee for his conservative Christianity and Paul for his anti-war libertarianism.

Betty Wolf, 28, of Cleveland, said she decided to contribute to Paul because of unfair media coverage and the disrespect other candidates showed him during debates.

"If you're willing to laugh at a candidate onstage, that's a really deep personal affront," she said. "That's what really made me say, 'I'm going to open up my wallet and I'm going to give to this guy, because no one laughs at money.'"

While this year's presidential election shows signs of drawing in more young voters than any since 1992, the candidates who pulled some of them into the Republican race are long gone — and it's unclear whether they've taken their young supporters with them.

We'll Take that Bluff Without Breaking a Sweat

Rice dismissed blustery comments from Russian leaders who say Warsaw's hosting of 10 U.S. interceptor missiles just 115 miles from Russia's westernmost frontier opens the country up to attack.

"When you threaten Poland, you perhaps forget that it is not 1988," Rice said. "It's 2008 and the United States has a ... firm treaty guarantee to defend Poland's territory as if it was the territory of the United States. So it's probably not wise to throw these threats around."

Speaking to reporters traveling with her, Rice said, "the Russians are losing their credibility."

Pro-Choice VP Will Destroy GOP

UPDATE: But Fox News reports that McCain came to the conclusion in the last 36 hours that any running mate who supports abortion rights would be a political liability. Campaign aides revealed that to RNC officials. That tough guy act is gonna give us all a heart attack!

RUSH: If they do that, if the McCain camp does that, they will have effectively destroyed the Republican Party and pushed the conservative movement into the bleachers -- and there are a lot of people who believe that's been the aim of the Rockefeller wing of the Republican Party for many years.

Now, if all this stuff is not just a trial balloon -- and a lot of people now think that all this is just a smoke screen to set the table and set the stage for Rudolph Giuliani as the vice president. Meanwhile, Mike Huckabee is out there trashing Mitt Romney to as many evangelical groups as he can. We're committing suicide in the midst of two events that could launch the party to sweeping victory in November!

But if what I'm told is accurate, serious float, and they're talking to these big donors and the delegates are taking a poll on this, it's a very serious thing. It could just destroy everything McCain gained on Saturday night. I cannot emphasize this enough.

Condoleezza Rice: Russia playing 'dangerous game'

Dmitry Rogozin, Russia's ambassador to NATO, warned that an anti-Russian propaganda campaign could jeopardize existing security cooperation. "We hope that tomorrow's decisions by NATO will be balanced and that responsible forces in the West will give up the total cynicism that has been so evident (which) is pushing us back to the Cold War era," he told reporters Monday.

"We don't want to destroy the NATO-Russia Council, but Russia's actions have called into question the premise of the NATO-Russia relationship," U.S. Ambassador Kurt Volker said ahead of the NATO talks.

On her way to an emergency NATO foreign ministers meeting on the crisis, Rice said the alliance would punish Russia for its invasion of the Georgia and deny its ambitions by rebuilding and fully backing Georgia and other Eastern European democracies.

"We are not going to allow Russia to draw a new line at those states that are not yet integrated into the trans-Atlantic structures," she said, referring to Georgia and Ukraine, which have not yet joined NATO or the European Union but would like to.

Hezbollah the Inevitable

With a bristling new arsenal of rockets, Oren believes a Hezbollah attack on Israel is just a matter of time.

Under the U.N. ceasefire resolution that ended the war, about 13,000 international peacekeepers have deployed in South Lebanon. But Israel charges that they have failed to fulfill their mandate of preventing weapons smuggling to Hezbollah from Syria and Iran.

And with the possible involvement of regional superpowers, the next war could be much worse than the last one.

Why Artists Hate Conservatives

Artists don't really care about the poor except that it helps them to make an argument for their own needs. You don't see Barbra Streisand or Steven Spielberg offering to create a huge endowment fund for starving actors out of their vast wealth, do you? No, they prefer that ordinary people to pay for starving actors' and artists' needs through the government programs liberals love. The very few artists who reap mega fortunes don't care a whit about their struggling peers, and won't dent their own fortunes for the sake of their own kind, but are more than ready to raise a working family's taxes a large percentage.

Conservatives, though, think that everyone should carry their own weight. Artists simply can't. It's no good saying the market should decide; that some fall by the wayside because they aren't good enough or self-promoting enough. We might possibly lose incredibly fine works of skill and beauty, for my experience (not with my own work) in observing a great many superb artists is that regardless of the quality of their work, they hardly get by because work of living artists of the highest quality is simply not valued by enough buyers with money to spend.

Biblical Prayer

There’s a perception out there in this modern day in age of constant connectivity of little to no expectation of privacy. Even to the extreme idea that the Constitution leaves no provision for privacy. Yet the greater knowledge of liberty finds it necessary for the security of a free state to allow time set aside for prayer with intent to turn away from the influence of the unjust world.

What Prayer Is Not
Prayer is not memorized, Matthew 6:7. It must be from the heart.

Prayer is not make-believe. It is not just good therapy. Don't feel better just because you prayed for someone. Don't pray for someone with the intent of relieving your conscience.

Prayer is not a means by which we can get from God what we want. We should not have the "gimmies."

Prayer is not a sign of righteousness. Don't think that if we pray more than others, that we are better.

Prayer is not seeking our will. We can have everything right, but there is still one thing we must do for God to hear us and intervene.

So here’s two biblical expectations of privacy where it is stated clearly with out a doubt that a Christian must have the ability to pray under a free state without fear of consequence.

Preaching in Galilee
35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, He got up, went out, and made His way to a deserted place. And He was praying there.

How to Pray
5 "Whenever you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites, because they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by people. I assure you: They've got their reward! 6 But when you pray, go into your private room, shut your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Maybe a deserted place in the case of this blog is the internet where privacy is only obtained if readers wish to turn away. Before the internet decides to switch off it must first except its role in spiritual depravity in the form of information overload.

Psalm 42
3 My tears have been my food day and night, while all day long people say to me,
"Where is your God?"

Nuclear Threat; Beat them Back to Hell

Moscow lashed out at Washington and Warsaw on Friday, saying the plan to site a US anti-missile defence shield in Poland would undermine the global balance of power and put Poland at risk of nuclear attack.

The timing of this week’s agreement, as relations between Russia and the US deteriorated over the Georgia crisis, has strengthened Moscow’s conviction that the move is anti-Russian.

Anatoly Nogovitsin, the deputy head of the Russian armed forces, warned Poland that by hosting the shield it could become the target of a nuclear attack in war time. “The US is concerned with its own anti-missile defence, not Poland’s. But Poland, by deploying [the shield], will be exposed to attack.”

Emo Pukes Seek Death of the Middle Class

For starters, narcissism seems to be a major descriptor. Zogby sees First Globals as “materialistic and self-absorbed” individuals who also “want to look richer than they are.” Like a daytime soap opera, these young people “obsess about relationships.”

While just a subset of the nation’s population, the First Globals are already playing a role in re-defining the American ethos. The jarring divide between the First Globals and their elders reflects the greater political polarization that exists in America today.

Zogby describes this as a battle between the Wal-Mart and Dunkin’ Donut customers on one hand, and the Starbucks crowd on the other.

Dunkin’ Donuts patrons gave Bush a resounding show of support in 2004, 60 percent voting for him over Kerry’s 39 percent. But Starbucks customers did the opposite, backing Kerry over Bush 57 percent to 42 percent.

Like the Dunkin’ Donuts voters, weekly Wal-Mart shoppers, are more likely than those who never shop at the retail giant to be Hispanic, live in a rural areas, and attend church at least once a week, Zogby posits.

Zogby found that those who attend religious services backed Bush by 25 percentage points over those who never attended church. Much has been made about the “gender gap” among voters, but Zogby says that is less important than the gap between singles/never married and married voters. Kerry won big among the single/never marrieds.

'Disassociation' from John Hawkins' Blog

Liberals tend to live in cloud-cuckoo land, where the average conservative is an evil, Nazi-loving David Duke who's hellbent on sticking them in a camp so that we can turn the US into a theocracy. Meanwhile, back in the real world, there's very, very little evidence to support these assertions.

So, the way liberals get around this is by claiming conservatives are speaking in code. No matter how clearly conservatives say what we mean and no matter how obvious our motives are, liberals can always manage to come up with some bizarro world narrative to explain what conservatives REALLY mean.

For example, the latest McCain ad, "The One," takes a powerful and effective shot at Obama's incredible arrogance, the cult-like nature of his campaign, and whether he's qualified to be President.

First off, here's Daily Kos Diarist SoonerG
But wait...there's more. Discourse.net actually matches the Daily Kos on their nutty anti-Christ claim and then ups the ante
Absurdly, David Gergen said that the ad was accusing Obama of being "uppity,"

"In light of last week’s attack on a Unitarian church for being too “liberal,” is it so far-fetched to worry that some unhinged true believer may hear all this and decide he has a call to assassinate the anti-Christ? It’s perhaps fortunate that, as one Christian pastor put it to me via email, “the people who believe in the anti-Christ tend to believe that he/she is too powerful for one person to take out with a .30-.06.”"

Seriously wtf? This reasoning is so twisted up it ain't even funny.

"What is Biblical separation?"

Biblical separation is the acknowledgment that God has called believers out of the world to maintain a personal and corporate purity in the midst of sinful culture. Biblical separation is usually considered in two divisions: personal and ecclesiastical.

Personal separation involves an individual’s commitment to a godly standard of behavior. Daniel practiced personal separatism when he “purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meats, nor with the wine which he drank” (Daniel 1:8). His was a biblical separatism because his standard was based on God’s revelation in the Mosaic law.

A modern example of personal separation could be the decision to decline invitations to parties where alcohol is served. Such a decision might be made to circumvent temptation (Romans 13:14), to avoid the “appearance of evil” (1 Thessalonians 5:22), or simply to be consistent with a personal conviction (Romans 14:5).

U.N. Crackdown on Christians

A United Nations plan that would make Christians criminals under international law will be getting a review by the White House, according to spokeswoman Dana Perino.

WND reported just days ago on a proposed "Combating Defamation of Religions" program supported by the 57 members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference.

The proposal has been around since about 1999, first launched as a ban to the "defamation" of Islam. Its sponsors also have adopted the Cairo Declaration of Human Rights in Islam, "which states that all rights are subject to sharia law, and makes sharia law the only source of reference for human rights."

There is no strictly static set of laws of sharia. Sharia is more of a system of how law ought to serve humanity, a consensus of the unified spirit, based on the Qur'an (the religious text of Islam), hadith (sayings and doings of Muhammad and his companions), Ijma (consensus), Qiyas (reasoning by analogy) and centuries of debate, interpretation and precedent.

In practice the new Sharia courts in Nigeria have most often meant the re-introduction of harsh punishments without respecting the much tougher rules of evidence and testimony. The punishments include amputation of one/both hands for theft and stoning for adultery and apostasy.

Many, including the European Court of Human Rights, consider the punishments prescribed by Sharia as being barbaric and cruel. Islamic scholars argue that, if implemented properly, the punishments serve as a deterrent to crime.

There's no separation of Church and State under Islamic Law:

Shari'ah may be divided into five main branches:
'ibadah (ritual worship)
mu'amalat (transactions and contracts)
adaab (morals and manners)
i'tiqadat (beliefs)
'uqubat (punishments) [3]
The acts of worship, or al-ibadat includes:
Ritual Purification (wudu)
Prayers (salah)
Fasts (sawm and Ramadan)
Charities (zakat)
Pilgrimage to Mecca (hajj)
Human interaction, or al-mu'amalat includes:
Financial transactions
Endowments
Laws of inheritance
Marriage, divorce, and child care
Foods and drinks (including ritual slaughtering and hunting)
Penal punishments
Warfare and peace
Judicial matters (including witnesses and forms of evidence)

Pakistan Has Rat-People?

"These are God's children. We are proud to look after her," said Ijaz Hussain, the shrine's government-employed custodian, as Nadia shrieked unintelligibly and put coins in a battered wooden box at her side.

Outside a Muslim shrine in this dusty Pakistani city, a "rat woman" with a tiny head sits on a filthy mattress and takes money from worshippers who cling to an ancient fertility rite.

Nadia, 25, is one of hundreds of young microcephalics -- people born with small skulls and protruding noses and ears because of a genetic mutation -- who can be found on the streets of Gujrat, in central Punjab province.

Officials say many of them have been sold off by their families to begging mafias, who exploit a tradition that the "rat children" are sacred offerings to Shah Daula, the shrine's 17th century Sufi saint.

Man Was a Seminar Caller

When the Man Comes Around

Revelation 19
11 Then I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse! Its rider is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
12 His eyes were like a fiery flame, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knows except Himself.
13 He wore a robe stained with blood, and His name is called the Word of God.
14 The armies that were in heaven followed Him on white horses, wearing pure white linen.
15 From His mouth came a sharp sword, so that with it He might strike the nations. He will shepherd them with an iron scepter. He will also trample the winepress of the fierce anger of God, the Almighty.
16 And on His robe and on His thigh

He has a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS

I refer to the twisting of Revelation 19 verse 11 rewritten to read as this:
“And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts
And I looked and behold, a pale horse
And his name that sat on him was Death
And Hell followed with him.”

The song continues:
“Till Armageddon no shalam, no shalom

Whoever is unjust let him be unjust still
Whoever is righteous let him be righteous still
Whoever is filthy let him be filthy still
Listen to the words long written down
When the Man comes around”

Johnny Cash might be dead but I still don’t need his permission to worship because I don’t seek the approval of those hostile toward Christ.

Psalm 7
8 The LORD judges the peoples; vindicate me, LORD, according to my righteousness and my integrity.
9 Let the evil of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous. The One who examines the thoughts and emotions is a righteous God.
10 My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart.
11 God is a righteous judge, and a God who executes justice every day.
12 If anyone does not repent, God will sharpen His sword; He has strung His bow and made it ready.
13 He has prepared His deadly weapons; He tips His arrows with fire.
14 See, he is pregnant with evil, conceives trouble, and gives birth to deceit.
15 He dug a pit and hollowed it out, but fell into the hole he had made.
16 His trouble comes back on his own head, and his violence falls on the top of his head.
17 I will thank the LORD for His righteousness; I will sing about the name of the LORD, the Most High.
