It seemed as if Wright, jokingly offering himself as Obama’s vice president, was actually trying to doom Obama; a member of the head table, American Urban Radio’s April Ryan, confirmed that Wright’s security was provided by bodyguards from Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam.

The video opens with a platoon of American soldiers with a cross on one side with the inscription, 'Jesus camp', followed by a star of David and images of conflicts between Israelis and Palestinians.In the background, a voice in Arabic, says "Israel wants to destroy us."

Apart from the al-Qaeda video, there are images and photos. The first shows a star of David with a cross and a white dove and an inscription that reads: "Christians and Jews are terrorists and their presence is proof of it."

Never Been Closer to Armageddon

Muslim clerics often refer to Jews and Christians as the "sons of monkeys and pigs," but for Hamas officials, such as Younes al-Astel, Jews and Christians are also bigots.

"It is in their nature," al-Astel asserts. "They believe they are the sons, the beloved people of God, and whoever is their enemy will be animals in the image of human beings made to serve them as slaves," he said.

"People who have this sick way of thinking about non-Jews, in their own mind they believe that we Arabs and Muslims don't deserve to live," al-Astel said.

"Some people may look at the Hamas struggle as one for territory in Gaza and the West Bank [Judea and Samaria], but these leaders have a much larger global goal built on centuries of resentment," he concluded.

In the Gaza Strip, Hamas has begun the largest military buildup in its history, recently stepping up its cross-border attacks against Israeli soldiers and citizens.

With their constant efforts to provoke Israel, Hamas leaders hope to put themselves at the vanguard of jihad -- "holy" war -- not just against Israel, but against the West as well.

Throughout much of the Muslim world -- from Iran to the Gaza Strip -- comes the cry "Death to America!" and "Death to Israel!"

Yay "Earth" Day

How foolish to worship the creation, when the Creator is so much greater.

Today is Earth Day, a commemoration of our global home and a reminder of our responsibility to be careful stewards of this orb. But celebrating the greatness of our unique home among the planets can take on a dangerous slant if we leave out one key element. Contemplating the grandeur of earth should remind us that we are merely "the people of His pasture" (Ps. 95:7), and we must worship "our Maker" (v.6). The creation was flung into space to point to God and His greatness, power, and majesty. He alone deserves our praise and worship (Ps. 148:5). Thank You, Lord, for such an awe-inspiring reminder to worship You! — Dave Branon

HAMAS Vows Not to Recognize Israel

Just hours after former President Jimmy Carter trumpeted Hamas' agreement to let Israel "live as a neighbor," the same terrorist leader he met with face-to-face vowed not to recognize the Jewish state.

But Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal did offer Israel a 10-year truce if it withdraws from all lands it seized in the 1967 Arab-Israeli war.

Carter met twice with Mashaal over the weekend.

The former president also said Monday that he would never sit down with Al Qaeda because the terror network has no "redeeming features."


Why after this productive odyssey, I wonder where Israel stands on "redeeming features."

Legalize Crime for Peace

A crowd of about 10,000 people collectively began counting down on the University of Colorado’s Norlin Quadrangle just before 4:20 p.m. today.

Yet the massive puff of pot smoke that hovers over CU’s Boulder campus every April 20 — the date of an annual, internationally recognized celebration of marijuana — began rising over the sea of heads earlier than normal this year.

“Oh forget it,” one student said, aborting the countdown to 4:20 p.m. and lighting his pipe early. He closed his eyes, taking a deep, long drag.

“Sweet.”

“We can’t do the same thing year after year,” Wiesley said hours before today's smoking began. “So I doubt we’ll do anything like the pictures. ... There’s no way our 12 to 15 officers are going to be able to deal with a crowd of 10,000. We just can’t do strong enforcement when we’re outnumbered 700 or 800 to one.”

Sounds like a job for the undead terror these anti-American liberals place upon the face of judgement....

All that Hate in the Bible

American Indians, Kenyans and many others believe there are four races of mankind. The Bible, however, seems to state that there are only three races of man. These races apparently came from Noah's three sons who survived the Genesis Flood: Shem ('white' race), Ham ('black' race) and Japheth ('yellow' race). Are there three or four races of mankind? Where did the 'red' race (Indians, etc.) come from?

Those whose formal field of study is racial characteristics have proven that many of the North American “Indians” are descended from Asiatic people.


Much of today’s speculation is of two primary origins:

Those who are racist in their ideology, believing that one group of people is superior to others because of the color of their skin or the texture of their hair.

Those who want to merge all people together, regardless of cultural differences, out of “political correctness”.


Many of those who nominally believe the Bible do not recognize that Moses married a woman whose skin was black and the Bible gives no restrictions on racial “mixing”. The Bible DOES warn against believers marrying and taking up the habits of unbelievers but that’s about the extent of Bible teaching in the area of “race”.

The real truth is that all of mankind have the opportunity to become sons of God through the grace of God and the blood of our Savior, Jesus.

God created this universe, this world and everyone in it. People exist in their variety because God designed it that way. Put simply, racism is a criticism of His handiwork.

If you told me that you did not like me because of some physical characteristic I have, I might say: "Look buddy, your beef is really with the One that created me - it has nothing to do with me. I had nothing to do with creating myself! I can't change a characteristic you don't like just because you ask me to. Like you, I did not ask to be on this planet and I did not ask to have the characteristics I have. If you do not like me that’s between you and God! Complain to Him!"

Democrats Grant Terrorist Legitimacy

Former President Carter is meeting with a Hamas delegation from Gaza, part of a series of talks with the Islamic militant group that has drawn sharp criticism from U.S. and Israeli officials.

Hamas officials said Wednesday that Carter's meetings with its leaders will boost the group's legitimacy despite criticism by Israel and the U.S. government of the former president's personal peace mission.

Several Democratic members of the House apparently plan to forward a letter to Carter Monday urging him to reconsider his scheduled meeting with leaders of Hamas during his next visit to the Middle East. Reps. Artur Davis of Alabama, Shelley Berkley of Nevada, Adam Schiff of California, and Adam Smith of Washington state asked Carter to drop the planned meeting.

"I find it hard to understand what is going to be gained by having discussions with Hamas about peace when Hamas is, in fact, the impediment to peace," Rice said at a press event with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

And Rice is not the Lone Ranger. This is not just a proclamation of neo-con policy dogma. It is an empirical fact: Hamas is the problem . . . not even remotely near or interested in a solution.
"Hamas is a terrorist organization," Rice said, repeating the Bush administration's explanation for why it will not meet with members of the group.

When former president Jimmy Carter meets with terrorist Hamas leader Khaled Mashall this Friday in Damascus he will apparently violate two federal laws. His eager defiance of the law threatens Americans at home and our troops abroad.

Carter’s meeting will violate the Logan Act (18 U.S.C. § 953) which makes it a felony for any American, “…without authority of the United States,” to communicate with a foreign government in an effort to influence that government's behavior on any “…disputes or controversies with the United States.” A citizen found guilty of this law could be imprisoned for up to three years. Carter’s specific intention is “to provide momentum for current efforts to secure peace in the Middle East.”

Carter’s proposed meeting will also violate part of the USA Patriot Act of 2001 which prohibits any US citizen from knowingly providing “…material support or resources” to a foreign terrorist organization (18 U.S.C. § 2339A(b)). The phrase “material support or resources” includes “expert advice” which is what former presidents provide. A citizen found guilty of violating this law could be imprisoned for life.

HAMAS Endorses Obama

On Sunday, Aaron Klein and John Batchelor interviewed Ahmed Yousef, chief political adviser to the Prime Minister of Hamas, on WABC radio. The interview produced a scoop which, for some reason, has not been widely publicized: Hamas has endorsed Barack Obama for President. Yousef said, "We like Mr. Obama and we hope he will win the election." Why? "He has a vision to change America." Maybe Yousef has some insight into what Obama means by all these vague references to "change."

Of course, Hamas's taste in American presidents is suspect. Yousef also described Jimmy Carter, who was about to pay a call on Hamas when the interview was taped, as "this noble man" who "did an excellent job as President."

The Sixth Commandment

The commandment "thou shall not kill" (Exodus 20:13; Deuteronomy 5:17), is better understood to mean "you shall not murder," most modern translations of the Bible rendered it this way. According to the Bible not all killing, the taking of a life, is murder. Murder is the unlawfully taking of human life. The command not to murder applies to human beings, not to killing animals or plant life for food. God gave animals to mankind for his use (Genesis 1:26-30; 9:1-4).

But, this does not mean that humans have the right mistreat animals and the environment (Genesis 2:15; Deuteronomy 22:6-7; 25:4; Proverbs 12:10). Under the Old Covenant God allowed the Israelites to kill other humans under very special circumstances such as punishment for certain sins, for example, murder (Exodus 21:12-14, Leviticus 24:17, 21) and adultery (Leviticus 20:10, Deuteronomy 22:22-24). God also allowed the Israelites to engage in warfare and even gave them instructions about waging war (Deuteronomy 20:1-20). God also recognized that humans might accidentally kill each other, and he made provisions for this (Numbers 35:9-34; Deuteronomy 19:1-13).

Why Liberals Fear Religion

RUSH: They are afraid of you. They are afraid of the pope. They are afraid of anything coming from organized religion that has a belief in God, for a whole host of reasons. It makes them feel guilty; it makes them aware of their own shortcomings. I didn't hear what Bill Maher said because I don't watch his show but I've gotten a lot of e-mails from people who were upset about it. If I were you, I wouldn't waste much energy on it. You're talking about another miserable human. He's obviously gotta be one of the most miserable people walking the planet. This man cannot be happy.

We've discussed it countless times on this program. Among the reasons is that there is judgmentalism, there is a definite morality, right and wrong, there are not gray areas. There's not a lot of nuance, and they consider people that ascribe to these beliefs and teachings as closed-minded and bigots and just not very bright.

Defining Moment

“We’re going to make you do this.”

This person should be in an institution where he might possibly be reached instead he is robbed of his free will by whoever is recording the video, his system full of drugs and sent to play a role in a planned criminal act. He has no gang tattoos but he is physically powerful enough to carry out his threats.

The crowbar was placed there out of sight in reach of the street where it was used. This was not random act caught on tape. This was edited with a $500 application so it appears like a music video.

All for respect so people will feel fear over what he has wrought. I hope the cameraman is locked safely away from other people where he can no longer create these incidents.

This is what Christianity is, a haven away from these horrible acts and the only way on this Earth people can thrive.

Our Daily Bread for 4/16:

One year ago, people around the world were stunned by a shooting rampage that left 32 victims dead on the campus of Virginia Tech University. In the aftermath, the mother of one critically wounded student who survived said she did not want the ordeal to become the defining moment in her son's life. Instead, she hoped it could be "something positive, some great celebration of his life."

When the unthinkable happens, it may seem impossible to believe that anything can overcome the emotional scars. Yet, the life of Joseph offers a powerful illustration of God's transforming power (Gen. 37–50). The brothers who sold him into slavery were sure he would take revenge on them (50:15-17). But Joseph told them, "You meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive" (v.20).

When we place our desire for revenge in God's hands, we become participants in the remarkable process described by Paul: "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" (Rom. 12:21).

Liberals Surrender to HAMMAS

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter said he'll meet with a Hamas leader at a West Bank reception Tuesday, a sign he has not been cowed by criticism of his plans to meet with the violently anti-Israel group.

Both the United States and Israeli governments have already expressed displeasure at Carter's overtures to Hamas and labeled a terrorist organization by both countries. Carter is to meet Khaled Mashaal, the group's exiled leader, in Damascus, Syria, on Friday.

Carter's popularity hit bottom in Israel since he published a book two years ago drawing comparisons between Israeli policies in the West Bank and Gaza and apartheid in South Africa.

Furthermore I am a Christian and I resist demands against victimizing other people in the wake of my religion because the Bible preaches peace and forgiveness above all which is considered hate speech.

Why I'm Good Enough

Why must I suffer disappointment, sorrow, and tribulation? What have I done that God should send me trials? Is He displeased with me? These questions are constantly asked by God's dear children.

Much of this fear and questioning is due to our misunderstanding of God's dealings with His own. He has His good reasons. And one of those reasons is for our spiritual discipline. We should be far more afraid of being left alone than of God's chastening, for He wastes no time on worthless objects that give no promise of fruitfulness.

On the shores of Lake Michigan are great barren sand dunes that have never felt the point of a plow. But in the rich lowlands beyond them, the farmer is constantly cultivating the soil. The farmer knows what he is doing, so he keeps on breaking up the soil. The deeper the plow works and the more the sharp harrow, the more precious the crop will be when harvest time comes.

God's plow goes deep, but it is only that in the end we may forget the plowing and rejoice in the blessing of bearing much fruit for Him. "No chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it" (Heb. 12:11). — M.R. Hagee said his group was giving $6 million to 16 Israeli causes. Recipients include the Magen David Adom rescue service and a conference center in the West Bank Jewish settlement of Ariel.

McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee for president, distanced himself last month from Hagee following an uproar over the San Antonio megachurch leader's comments on Catholicism.
Hagee has called the Roman Catholic Church "the great whore" and a "false cult system." He has also suggested that the Catholic church helped shape Adolf Hitler's anti-Semitism.

Hagee has vehemently denied he is anti-Catholic and said his remarks have been mischaracterized.

Fight Crime with Bibles

Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford has been accused of not doing enough to fight crime. But he argues the city doesn't need more police officers, but more of God.

"I'm gonna give you something far better than a gun to protect yourself with. I'm gonna give you the word of God," Langford said. "He is the only source of protection you've got. I make no apologies for it. I serve a good God and I'm glad He found me."

Religious Bigotry

JONAH GOLDBERG: It’s not that secular progressives support Muslim religious fanatics, it’s that they reserve their scorn for religious Christians who are neither fanatical nor violent.

It’s fine for Muslim moderates to say they aren’t part of the cancer; and that some have, in response to the film, is a positive sign. But more often, diagnosing or even observing this cancer — in film, book or cartoon — is dubbed “intolerant,” while calls for violence, censorship, and even murder are treated as understandable, if regrettable, expressions of anger.

The Darwin fish ostensibly symbolizes the superiority of progressive-minded science over backward-looking faith. I think this is a false juxtaposition, but I would have a lot more respect for the folks who believe it if they aimed their brave contempt for religion at those who might behead them for it.

Birds of the Sky

This brought to mind another nature lesson. Using birds and lilies as examples, Jesus urged people not to worry. Since God takes care of birds, surely He will take care of His people (Matt. 6:26-30).
When concern for our own well-being leads to anxious thoughts, we can look at the birds and be assured of our value to God and of His care for us.
