Angelo Mendoza should be Speaker of the House the way things are going. Amazing how Bakersfield loves the kid now that he's been crippled and disabled for life as the community bands together in hypocrisy throwing money at the wailing wall of welfare entitlement. Court reports say Mendoza bit out the left eye of his son and severely damaged the right eye. Police said the father showed symptoms of PCP use on that day.

A probation report says Mendoza was a member of the Southside street gang for Hispanics. There is no court record in recent years indicating Mendoza was an active gang member.
